Diet Coke Limited Edition

Diet Coke reveals a new look for fall with a limited-time-only can design by Turner Duckworth.

“The design features a section of the Diet Coke logo, cropped to feature the “D” and “k” set against the brand’s signature silver backdrop,  creating a bold, tailored look for fall.  The new can design will be available nationwide beginning September and only on shelves for two months.”

The Alphabet in May

image

image

image

image

Type by Jakub Konvica of the Czech Republic.

“Inspired by the famous Czech writer and poet Karel Hynek Mácha and his poem ‘May’. I created an illustrated alphabet, in which every character illustrates words which appear in the poem. Afterwards, I cut the alphabet to pieces and rearranged them into new characters, which now represent the concrete stories.” - Jakub Konivca

40 Years of the Nike Swoosh

image

image

“One day in 1969, the student, Carolyn Davidson, was approached by Knight and offered $2 per hour “to make charts and graphics” for his business. For the next two years Davidson managed the design work on BRS. “Then one day Phil asked me if I wanted to work on a shoe stripe,” Davidson recalled. The only advice she received was to “Make the stripe supportive of the shoe.” Davidson came up with half a dozen options. None of the options “captivated anyone” so it came down to “which was the least awful.

Well, the rest is history. And the Swoosh emerged from “the stripe” and is one of the most recognized logos in the world.” - Steven Heller

Logos by Province

Just some of the beautiful logos designed by Province in Tomsk, Russia.

“We specialize in logo design and elements of visual communication development, and prefer creative, image design to the commercial one.

Computer is nothing more than just an instrument for us: it is more fun in drawing, modeling, whittling, cutting and pasting. The process and the result are equally important to us.  We cannot get down to work until we have a clear picture of what we are going to create and know positively that what we are going to create will fit to the given project.

We care about what we create to live and go forward over the times.”

The Levitating Girl

Natsumi Hayashi is a Tokyo teenager who spends a lot of time jumping until she gets just the right shot: one where it looks like she’s levitating.

“The only way to get a right timing for a shot is jumping a lot,” Hayashi said in an interview with the U.K.’s Daily Mail, dispelling our hopeful illusions that she’s the first human being who can actually fly. “Sometimes I need to jump over 100 times to get a right shot” She does this in front of her camera, mounted on a tripod, and continues to do so until she achieves that perfect, natural-looking “levitation.”

“BBQ-ing will not be the same with this new twist on condiments. ”Natwerks Mounting Sauces are a first in the collection of Natwerks autonomous creations. This range of sauces are a must have on every self respecting BBQ” It is a cool and unique approach to differentiate from the usual “squeeze” bottle we see in stores.”

Cool Coasters

These coasters were designed by Fabien Barral of France.

“The first idea was to create coasters as a self promotion, but as people really liked the coasters I reissued them in 2 colors and also created a special package. Letteramagica in Poland proposed these nice wood boxes. The only way to get them is by supporting my blog Graphic-ExchanGE.”
